The community at the end of this road has been transformed from a rural slum to a middle class neighborhood as HCDI/LifeWind teams organized and mobilized the community to work together for sustainable solutions to the problems of poverty and disease using local resources. Building the road was one of many community projects -- others included a water system, a community center, and a church.
